About

Melissa is a dedicated paralegal with more than 18 years of experience in the legal field, bringing a strong background in criminal law to her current role in family law at Baxter Law. Originally from Southern California, she and her family made Bend their home in 1993 and have been proud to be part of the Central Oregon community ever since.

Melissa began her legal career in 2008 with the District Attorney’s Office, where she spent 18 years building deep experience and a passion for justice. Today, she applies that experience to supporting clients through family law matters with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.

Outside the office, Melissa enjoys spending time with friends and family and taking advantage of Central Oregon’s outdoor lifestyle. Whether hiking local trails or exploring new spots around Bend, she’s often accompanied by her two large Cane Corsos, Rogue and Sitara. The trio can often be found enjoying the fresh air, beautiful scenery, and all that Central Oregon has to offer.
