Probate/Estate Planning Associate Attorney

Baxter Law, LLC is a cutting edge and rapidly growing law firm located in beautiful Bend, OR. We are currently looking to hire a Probate and Estate Planning Attorney with at least two or more years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have some prior experience in Wills, Trusts, Probate, Guardianships, Conservatorships, and some tax planning.

This is an ideal opportunity for a confident, self-motivated person with a desire to either gain or build upon their prior law practice experience while working in a collegial and fun-filled environment. Most importantly, the ideal candidate for this position is also a fun, outgoing, dynamic team player, who is organized, professional, responsible, able to adapt quickly in our fast-paced environment, able to meet tight deadlines, and motivated to help others.

Family Law Associate Attorney

We are currently looking to hire 1-2 associate attorneys with 0 to 5 years’ experience in family/civil law. The ideal candidate will have some prior family/civil litigation experience, with a broad-based employment background and a working understanding of state laws and regulations. We are, however, willing to train the right candidate. Estate Planning/Probate Legal Assistant

We are looking a Legal Assistant with some legal experience in Estate Planning and Probate, but willing to train the right person. The ideal candidate for this position is organized, professional, responsible, able to adapt quickly in our fast-paced environment, and be ready to help us meet all of our clients' needs. 

Responsibilities: 

• Take direction from Attorneys and other staff. 
• Field phone calls from clients, opposing attorneys and staff, court staff and others as necessary. 
• Draft legal documents utilizing Microsoft Word, Clio and Adobe Acrobat DC Pro. 
• Meet multiple deadlines on a daily basis. 
• Establish and maintain case files. 
• Schedule client meetings. 
• Draft legal correspondence. 
• Calendar court dates and deadlines. 
• Answer telephones when necessary. 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: 

• 1-2 years of legal background in Estate Planning and Probate preferred 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality. 
• Strong communication and organizational skills necessary. 
• Ability to multi-task and shift gears quickly and frequently. 
• Team-oriented individual with excellent customer service skills 

Compensation depends on how much experience you have in these areas of law and salary is generally above industry standards for Bend. 
Position is full-time, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Receptionist

Baxter Law is a fast-growing law firm located in the Old Mill District in beautiful Bend, Oregon. We are looking to hire a full-time, in-office receptionist. Applicant must be able to answer busy phones, multi-task, greet clients in professional and friendly manner, have a good work ethic, and be team oriented. Room for growth within the company. 

Requirements: 

• At least 1 year of related experience preferred 
• Familiar with Word and Excel 
• Ability to learn new software 
• Strong skills in communication and client relations 
• Manage all incoming phone calls, transfer and take messages appropriately 
• Assist staff in administrative tasks such as scanning, copying and document organization/filing 
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment when necessary 
• Self-starting and proactive attitude 
• Professional, positive appearance and attitude 
• Detail oriented and organized 
• Reliable and punctual 
• Willingness to learn new skills and accomplish goals of the firm 

The hours of this position are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, 
Compensation is $18-20/hr. depending on skill level and experience.
