Prior to practicing law, Heidi proudly served in the United States Coast Guard. After graduation from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Heidi was a deck watch officer, driving one of the Coast Guard’s 180’ buoy tenders out of San Francisco, CA. Heidi transferred to Seattle in 1997 where she served as a Marine Vessel Inspector, inspecting a variety of commercial vessels, including passenger vessels, Washington State Ferries, and large cargo and tank ships. She also served as a Coast Guard Marine Casualty and Personnel Investigator, investigating vessel collisions, alisions, near misses, and violations of the Coast Guard regulations by commercial vessels and by merchant mariners. In her role as a Personnel Investigator, Heidi also represented the Coast Guard in Suspension and Revocation Proceedings against merchant mariners for violations of laws and regulations.

Heidi, a northeast native, settled in Seattle with her husband and two young children. She is active in her community neighborhood club and has helped plan many community based activities. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family.

Heidi spent the last four years practicing at the Seattle office of an Alaska based law firm doing estate planning, probate, business and corporate law, maritime personal injury defense, maritime regulatory law, commercial transactions, workers’ compensation, truck accident defense, and general civil litigation.

Heidi is admitted to practice in the State of Washington and the United States District Court, Western District of Washington.
